Privacy notice.
How Peter Jackson & Sons Ltd, trading as Jackson Textiles, uses the personal information you give us through this website. Last reviewed October 2026.
Who we are
Peter Jackson & Sons Ltd, Bowers Mill, Branch Road, Barkisland, Halifax, West Yorkshire, HX4 0AD, is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. Contact: info@jacksontextiles.co.uk, (+44) 1422 378 061.
What we collect and why
- Enquiry forms. When you use the general contact or project enquiry form we receive the details you enter (name, company, role, email, telephone, country, the content of your message and any file you attach). We use them to respond to your enquiry, prepare samples or quotations, and keep a record of the correspondence. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries, and steps taken at your request before entering a contract.
- Email and telephone. If you contact us directly we keep the correspondence for the same purposes.
- Technical data. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
- Technical guides. To open a technical guide we ask for your email address. We use it to send you the link to the guide, to follow up on your interest in that sector where relevant, and to understand which guides are useful. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in responding to interest in our products. You can object at any time by emailing us.
Marketing
We do not add contacts to marketing lists on the basis of an enquiry. We will only send marketing communications with your separate consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who processes your information
- Form submissions are relayed to our mailboxes by an email form service, and handled in our business email systems.
- The website is hosted on a content delivery platform; fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which involves a request from your browser to Google's servers.
- We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers acting on our instructions, or where the law requires.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and related correspondence are kept for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and, where it leads to business, for the duration of the relationship and our statutory record-keeping obligations. We review stored enquiries periodically and delete those no longer needed. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability where applicable. To exercise any of these rights, email info@jacksontextiles.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Customer portal
The customer portal has its own terms and privacy wording covering account, order and product data. They are provided with the account invitation.
